I started this website as part travel diary and part travel guide.  Through years of traveling as a family, we have discovered some unique and interesting places, as well as guidelines for traveling with pre-teens and teens.  (They are some of the toughest traveling companions around!)  We have had lots of fun – but it ain’t over yet!  The list of places I would like to visit is always growing and it is always changing.  It’s a great big world out there!

So, let me make the introductions — we are a crazy, silly, fun and close family of four.  I suppose that could be up for debate – but at least it’s what I think we are!  I’m Chris – the mom.  My better half is Joe.  My daughter, Jayci, is 18 and just started college.  And my son Jackson is 14 years old; he is in 8th grade.

Besides posting about family vacations, I will also include some day trips – especially in Florida – since it’s our home base.

There have been many successes and even some failures along the way, but I hope what we have learned can help you make some smart decisions.  And not make the same mistakes!  And I hope it acts as inspiration.  We’ve been lucky to do some amazing things and I feel it has educated my kids in a way that school can’t.  Getting out of your usual family routine and taking time together to discover new places will bring life-long memories and a rich history of shared experiences, which can only bring you closer.
